“ You may say I'm a Dreamer, but I'm not the only one.” Would you call yourself a Dreamer? I am! I love everything about it! Last Sunday I was driving home from a road trip to Austin and we passed a GreyHound bus. As we passed the bus I noticed a young women with her hand under her chin gazing out the window at the clouds. I could not help but wonder what she was thinking about, where was she going, and where has she been? We all have a story and we all have a dream. What is your dream?
I love to hear stories of dreams that God places in your heart. I enjoy encouraging others to step out and and go for their dreams! I have been listening to teaching from Terri Savelle. She is amazing at showing you how nothing is impossible! She says we all have a dream, the difference between the people that achieve them and the ones that do not is action. It is the little things you do everyday that move you closer to or away from your goals. On the CD I was listening to this week she made a list of what successful people do before 8 am and I was encouraged. I was going to do it! I went out Monday and joined a gym preparing for Tuesday to be the day. I set my alarm for 5am, laid out the gym clothes, and I was ready. Day 1: turned off my alarm, overslept, no shower, forgot to turn on the crock pot for dinner, almost forgot to call in for my 11am coaching class, unstopped a toilet, and by noon was feeling a little defeated. Day 1 = Epic Fail.
The Good News...God gave me Wednesday. I got to try again! In the morning my alarm went off at 5am, I was at the gym by 5:30, listened to Terri's CD on the way entitled “How bad do you want it”, 30 minute workout and I was back home by 6:15 and spent 15 minutes in my bible, 6:30 in the shower. By the time I had to wake my kids up at 7:15 I had my make-up on and making breakfast for my husband. He and I already have a routine of breakfast and devotional time at 7:30. At 9:00 am I was ready for work and a load of laundry started. Day 1, 2.0 was off to a good start! Now can I keep this up for the 21 days that is recommended to create habit? Probably not perfectly, life happens. However, it is a start, and all we have to do is start somewhere. When we do what we can do God will do what only He can do. We just have to believe and start moving. You can to! I encourage you to pick one thing and start today. I believe in you!
