“Nothing is Impossible” is a statement that continues to come up in my life. My husband jokes that I cannot say it without putting my fist in the air. Somehow when you do that it makes the statement feel a little bolder and makes me believe it just a little bit more. I found some notes the other day from a conference I attended about six years ago where I had the privilege to hear Vidal Sassoon speak. On the top of my notes there it was, “Nothing is Impossible!”

Vidal Sassoon is known for being an innovator in the beauty industry. He was the first to introduce geometric cuts and created my favorite cut, the “Bob.” He shared a story of a time he was driving through Harlem and was inspired by the styles he saw in the African American Community. He decided when he got back home, that he would no longer roller set hair after he permed it. He would leave the curls natural. People thought he was crazy and that it would never take off. This was the beginning of the afro in the 70’s that white women began to wear. Ladies’, we can thank Mr. Sassoon for doing away with the roller sets.

What inspires you? What is your impossible dream? When we step out and risk having people think that we are crazy, we can move mountains! When we start stepping in the direction of our dreams and do what we can do, God will do what only He can do.

This month, in the spirit of Vidal Sassoon, Dove has started a campaign to “love your curls.” It encourages women to be bold and not let anyone “rein you in.” This is how I want to live my life, stepping boldly and bravely knowing that The God of the Universe is with me. Tomorrow I am taking a brave step; I am beginning classes to be a Life Coach. I am so excited and nervous about this opportunity. This is a step that had looked impossible. Five weeks ago I was let go from my job. What I learned is that sometimes God will use what looks like an obstacle to get you where He wants you to go. A few days ago I had decided there was no way I could begin classes this week. Thankfully I had a dear friend that saw something in me and wanted to sow a seed into my business and help me pay for the classes. God used her to turn my “impossible” into His “Possible.” He wants to do the same thing for you! When He has a plan for your life all of Heaven can rise up to make it happen, you just have to believe.

“If you have Faith as small as a mustard seed…Nothing will be impossible for you.” Mathew 17:20
